Twenty Years of Bay Area Yards
Founded in San Jose in 2003 by Walter Agosto. One licensed crew for the whole yard, from the irrigation under it to the walls holding it up.
One crew, one license, the whole yard
Agosto Landscape & Construction started in 2003 as a small San Jose gardening operation, and grew the way a landscape company should: one finished yard and one referral at a time. Two decades later we are still locally owned and still working many of the same neighborhoods, which is a useful kind of accountability. Bad work does not stay hidden when you drive past it every week.
What changed along the way is scope. Clients kept asking whether we could also pour the patio, build the wall holding up the slope, replace the fence, or set the deck, and rather than hand them off we got licensed and built the crews to do it. Today the same company handles the soft side of a yard, the turf, sod, planting, and irrigation, and the hard side, the pavers, concrete, block walls, fences, decks, and gazebos.
Our standard is the same across both: get the part nobody sees right. Compacted base under turf and pavers. Reinforced footings and a drain to daylight behind a retaining wall. Posts set in concrete at proper depth. Irrigation zoned around what plants actually need. Do that, and the visible part takes care of itself for years.
Every project gets a free on-site estimate, an itemized written scope with a start and finish date, and a final walkthrough before the last invoice. Your second job with us is 15% off, which is our way of saying we would rather earn the next project than mark up this one.
