Fremont

Fremont is the one part of our coverage on the east side of the bay, and the work there skews toward the heavy end of what we do: concrete driveways and slabs, paver patios, and retaining walls on the sloped lots up toward Mission San Jose.

On concrete we form to grade, reinforce with rebar or mesh, pour to the right depth for the load, and cut control joints on correct spacing, because concrete cracks and the contractor's job is to decide where. On the hillside lots, the walls get real footings, grouted block, gravel backfill, and a drain to daylight.

Because Fremont is a longer run for our crews, we quote it as concentrated blocks of work rather than a few hours at a time, and the written scope carries a start and finish date like every other job we take.
