San Carlos

San Carlos is built on a hill, and most of the calls we get from there start with slope: a backyard that drops away too fast to use, a bank that sheds mud onto the patio every winter, a wall someone built without a drain that is now leaning.

The fix is almost always the same three things done properly. A poured reinforced footing sized to the wall height, grouted block with the rebar the height actually calls for, and gravel backfill with a perforated drain running to daylight so winter water leaves instead of pushing.

Once the grade is held, the yard opens up. Terraced beds, a level paver or concrete area at the top, and steps that connect them make a hillside lot usable in a way it never was before.
